Center for Pain Management and Rehab
At the Center for Pain Management and Rehab, patients receive compassionate, integrative, and highly effective care from the most experienced pain and regenerative medicine team in Central Illinois. At their comfortable office in Peoria, Illinois, Yibing Li, MD, and the team achieve a high success rate with regenerative treatments, helping patients overcome pain and return to their normal activities.
Patients receive individualized care from the team of board-certified physicians. In addition to training in top international and US hospitals, and over two decades of experience, Dr. Li offers special expertise as an active medical researcher in regenerative medicine.
Dr. Li and her research team have studies hundreds of cases and presented their results to experts in the field of regenerative medicine. Her results show that regenerative therapies safely and effectively heal arthritis, as well as damaged ligaments and tendons.
In one study, Dr. Li used amniotic allograft derived cells, platelet-rich plasma, and prolotherapy to effectively relieve joint pain. Ultrasound imaging revealed that nearly all the patients had soft tissue regeneration, and the patients reported a dramatic reduction in pain and significantly improved function.
Dr. Li has also conducted a study of numerous patients that documented the impact of bone marrow stem cells and platelet-rich plasma in patients with severe osteoarthritis and rotator cuff injuries. This group experienced a 58% reduction in pain and a 47% improvement in function after one treatment. Yet another study further supported the positive impact of stem cell therapy for healing a rotator cuff tear.
Regenerative medicine includes a range of advanced treatments, such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, platelet-rich fibrin injections, stem cell therapies, and prolotherapy. As Dr. Li’s research has shown, these therapies ease the pain by regenerating new tissues that heal injured and diseased tissues.
The team at the Center for Pain Management and Rehab performs diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound in the office, so they can accurately diagnose the cause of your pain. Their customized treatment plans reflect a holistic approach to each patient’s needs and may include regenerative medicine, alternative therapies, interventional techniques, and physical therapy and rehabilitation.
